PPCS encourages the use of energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) and light emitting diodes (LEDs) in place of standard incandescent lamps.
It’s also important to recycle and properly dispose of CFLs. Refer to the Residential Lighting Information Sheet(pdf) for information about proper clean up of a broken CFL, and details about local recycling locations.
