Central Air Conditioners
Central air conditioning units must be connected to PPCS’ load management system to qualify for rebates. Air conditioning units are cycled under PPCS’ cycled air conditioning program. Residential unit performance is measured as Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). Commercial units are rated with an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER).
Cycled Air Conditioning Rebate
A one-time rebate is available when an existing air conditioning unit not currently under load management is connected to PPCS’ load management system.
Room Air Conditioners
Room air conditioner must be an ENERGY STAR qualified model. These units are not connected to PPCS’ load management system or cycled under PPCS’ cycled air conditioning program.
