Air source or geothermal heat pumps must be connected to PPCS’ load management system to qualify for rebates.
Air source heat pump performance is measured as Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) for the cooling mode and as Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) in heating mode. Geothermal units are 300 percent efficient and are rated with an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER). There is no EER requirement to qualify for this rebate.
